The Ownership Experience
Ownership is a sequence of practical interactions, not a marketing phrase.
The ownership experience starts with accurate information before a purchase and continues through communication, handover and the daily operation of the building. Each stage should make the property easier to understand and use.
Before a decision
Prospective owners should be able to distinguish confirmed project information from material that remains indicative. Questions about the property, specification, timing and process should have clear routes for response.
During delivery
Where communication is required, updates should explain what has changed, what has not and whether the change affects the owner. More messages are not automatically better; useful information is timely and specific.
At handover
Access, documentation, inspections, defects, meters, warranties and basic building information should be organised before keys are transferred. Handover is easier when the owner knows what to expect and who is responsible for unresolved items.
During occupation
Parking, deliveries, visitors, security, waste, shared areas, maintenance and service requests shape the normal experience of a property. Those operational subjects belong in development planning because residents will meet them every day.
