Governance & Leadership
Clear ownership of decisions matters more than an impressive list of titles.
Azari does not publish an invented executive roster. Leadership is described here through the way important development decisions are assigned, challenged and recorded until approved appointments are available for publication.
Decision ownership
A material decision should have a named owner. Site strategy, design approvals, commercial assumptions, consultant appointments and public project information should not sit in an undefined group where responsibility becomes difficult to trace.
Multidisciplinary review
Architecture, engineering, commercial planning, procurement and operations affect one another. Leadership has to create room for those disciplines to question assumptions early, especially when a decision improves one part of the project but creates cost, maintenance or delivery problems elsewhere.
Escalation and record
Significant risks and changes should be raised while alternatives still exist. The outcome, responsible person and basis for approval should then be recorded so that later teams understand why the project moved in that direction.
