Confirm systems have been tested
Power, water, drainage, cooling, fire systems, lifts and other relevant services should have the commissioning and statutory records required for the project. Demonstration and training may be needed for owners or operators.

Record defects and close them
A snag list should identify the issue, location, responsible party and status. Completion is stronger when corrected items are checked again instead of being marked closed from a contractor update alone.

Collect the ownership information
Keys, access credentials, manuals, warranties, meter details, emergency contacts and building rules should be organised so the owner understands how to use and maintain the property from the start.
