Optional categories
Preference, analytics and marketing categories are treated as optional in the website consent interface. They remain disabled until the visitor grants the relevant choice. A category may also remain inactive when no service in that category is configured.
Changing a choice

Withdrawing an optional choice does not remove storage that is technically necessary for the website to operate or records that must be retained for a legitimate security or compliance purpose.
